Elijah Carter Lachman was welcomed into the world at 5:25am on Thursday, July 1st, in the comfort and relaxation of our living room.  It was a completely natural 24 hours of labour and a lovely waterbirth.  He is an absolutely bonny boy - completely healthy, 7lbs 9oz at birth, happy, contented, and he nurses brilliantly.  We are SO THANKFUL to the Lord for so many answered prayers for safety and strength. . . and the perfect timing, too.  My mom arrived from the States the day before Elijah arrived and has been a brilliant help.  We have been blessed by the generosity and encouragement of many friends and are recovering well.  I'll post the birth story as soon as possible.
